Welcome to the online home for Orangewood Elementary School, home of the Ocelots! We are thrilled you stopped by. Situated in the town of West Covina in San Gabriel Valley, Orangewood Elementary is only 19 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.

Here you will find a hardworking staff committed to making your child’s early years of education successful. We strive to encourage Orangewood students to be responsible, respectful, safe, prepared, and excited for a lifetime of learning.

  • School begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.
  • Students eating breakfast should arrive at 7:30 a.m.
  • Kindergarten Dismissal- 1:58 p.m.
  • Grades 1-5 Dismissal- 2:08 p.m. 
  • Every Wednesday is minimum day
    • Kindergarten Dismissal-12:58 p.m.
    • Grades 1-5 Dismissal-1:08 p.m..
  • Free/Reduced lunch applications must be submitted every year

Free Health Conference

Kaiser Permanente is hosting a free health conference for teenagers ages 13-18 on Saturday, March 3 from 8:00 - 12:30 p.m. 


Topics include:

  • Natural Changes in Teen Years
  • Birth Control
  • Depression & Seeking Help
  • Smoking/Vaping Advice
  • Healthy Skin, Eating & Exercise
  • Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD)
  • Bullying, Cyberbullying, Social Media & Sexting
  • Teen Dating & Violence Prevention

A concurrent parent session available for any parent interested in learning the tools to partner in the health of their daughters. 


The event is located at the Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center.
