Orangewood School Home

Welcome

Winter has arrived but in sunny California you'd never know it!  At Orangewood School we strive to encourage our students to be responsible, respectful, safe and prepared.  Our challenging curriculum focuses on increasing student achievement while providing a safe, student friendly atmosphere.  Our estimated API (Academic Performance Index) increased to 850 this year! Our API has increased 126 points in 5 years!

Research shows that students who read every day become better readers and are more successful in school. Please encourage your child(ren) to READ! READ! READ!  Research shows students who participate in at least 20 minutes of reading nightly perform better throughout the day in school, their vocabulary is enriched and a deeper understanding of comprehension is gained.  Our school year lasts 184 days.  The 2011-2012 school year begins August 22, 2011 and ends the second week of June on June 8, 2012.  The school day starts at 7:45 a.m. and runs until 2:08 p.m.  Our school office is open daily 7:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
